THE MAKING A DIFFERENCE PROGRAMME
The essential skills for leading effective business improvement

Presented by Moore Training and Development in association with The Burge Hughes Walsh Partnership

BUSINESS BENEFITS

If your senior managers participate in this programme, they will:

  • think more strategically
  • broaden their knowledge of improvement tools and techniques
  • enhance their ability to gain staff participation and commitment to corporate initiatives
  • develop their problem solving skills
  • boost their confidence as champions of business improvement action
  • be encouraged to grasp every opportunity to Make a Difference in the business

Plus, each manager will develop a business improvement project plan and a set of personal development actions. Implementation of these improvement projects will repay your investment many times over.

PROGRAMME FEATURES

The three key streams running through the programme are The Improvement Process, Problem Solving Techniques and Leadership for Improvement. These and the stages of Making a Difference are illustrated below.

Following a Board Briefing, at which we help the top team identify a range of improvement projects to be taken forward, participants undertake a range of pre-programme tasks.

The five-day residential element of the programme incorporates a mix of presentations, discussions, syndicate activities, project work, indoor and outdoor team tasks, questionnaires and videos. The programme has two facilitators to ensure variety of style and enable off-line one-to-one coaching. We highly recommend the continued involvement of line managers through an informal dinner midway through the residential.

Approximately three months later, participants gather to review progress on their improvement projects and personal actions plans and to share learning.

It was a practical programme which initiated a number of valuable improvement projects; it enabled managers from different functions and different countries to develop stronger networks and it enhanced their leadership abilities. The professionalism of the programme leaders ensured that the sessions were dynamic and well-targeted for our managers. Feedback from participants was extremely positive."
